Oceanside Pirates (Oceanside, CA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they observed their basketball team nudge the visiting Santa Fe Christian Eagles (Solana Beach, CA), 55-52 in a non-league game.

In their next game, the Pirates face the San Marcos Knights (San Marcos, CA) in a Valley game, on Tuesday, January 13. Oceanside will attempt to move on its 11-2 season record. The Knights enter the game with a 10-5 record after their 64-59 league win over Orange Glen (Escondido, CA).

With the defeat, Santa Fe Christian moves to 11-3 on the year. The Eagles host La Jolla Country Day (La Jolla, CA) to face the Torreys in a non-league game on Tuesday, January 13.
