Ohio High School Basketball - Canton Central Catholic nips Washington
January 16, 2015: Canton, OH 44708 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Canton Central Catholic Crusaders (Canton, OH) and the visiting Washington Tigers (Massillon, OH), saw Canton Central Catholic's basketball squad hold off Washington by a count of 60-55.
With the victory, Canton Central Catholic upgrades its record to 7-2 on the campaign. The Crusaders travel to Ursuline (Youngstown, OH) to play the Fighting Irish in a Freelance challenge on Saturday, January 17. The Fighting Irish come into the challenge with a record of 10-1. Ursuline won 66-51 in their recent non-league challenge against Lake Catholic (Mentor, OH)
Next up, the Tigers play the Green Bulldogs (Uniontown, OH) in a non-league challenge, on Sunday, January 18. Washington will attempt to upgrade on its 5-4 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 8-0 record after their 78-42 league win over Revere (Richfield, OH).
