The Covington Catholic Colonels basketball team scored 78 points and held the visiting Madison Central Indians to 68 in the Colonels non-league triumph on Friday.

The Colonels now sport a 25-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Holy Cross for a District 35 contest on Wednesday, February 26. Covington Catholic will battle a Indians team coming off a 85-61 non-league loss to St. Henry (Erlanger, KY). The Indians record now stands at 6-18.

The Indians (19-10) will now prepare for their contest against Model (Richmond, KY). The Patriots enter the District 44 contest with a 16-10 record. In their last bout, Model was knocked off by West Carter (Olive Hill, KY), 65-62, in a non-league bout.
