The Howell Vikings basketball team scored 54 points and held the host Washington Bluejays to 48 in the Vikings non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Vikings now sport a 7-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Fort Zumwalt West for a Gateway - South contest on Monday, January 9. Howell will meet a Jaguars team coming off a 47-28 non-league win over Lafayette (Wildwood, MO). The Jaguars record now stands at 10-2.

The Bluejays (2-8) will now prepare for their contest against Fort Zumwalt East (St. Peters, MO). The go into the Gateway - North bout with a 1-9 record. In their last bout, Fort Zumwalt East was edged by Parkway Central (Chesterfield, MO), 55-24, in a non-league bout.
