Mississippi High School Softball - Union bounces Lake
March 29, 2012: Lake, MS 39092 Union Yellowjackets (Union, MS) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Lake Hornets (Lake, MS), 20-6 in a league challenge.
The Yellowjackets now own a 6-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Meridian for a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 31. Union will battle a Wildcats squad coming off a 8-2 non-league loss to Southeast Lauderdale (Meridian, MS). The Wildcats record now stands at 7-13.
With the loss, Lake falls to 3-13 on the campaign. The Hornets travel to Scott Central (Forest, MS) to battle the Rebels in a non-league challenge on Friday, March 30. The Rebels enter the challenge with a record of 11-2. Scott Central won 11-0 in their recent league challenge against St. Joseph Catholic (Madison, MS)
