Mexia Black Cats (Mexia, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Groesbeck Goats (Groesbeck, TX), 75-45 in a league bout.

With the win, Mexia upgrades its record to 16-10 on the season. The Black Cats travel to Crockett (Crockett, TX) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Friday, January 25. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 3-1.

Next up, the Goats play the Fairfield Eagles (Fairfield, TX) in a 3A Region III District 19 bout, on Friday, January 25. Groesbeck will attempt to upgrade on its 5-10 season record.
