Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Fairfax Lions (Los Angeles, CA) and the host Desert Vista Thunder (Phoenix, AZ), saw Fairfax's basketball squad hold off Desert Vista by a score of 53-48.

With the victory, Fairfax improves its record to 5-4 on the campaign. The Lions travel to University (Los Angeles, CA) to battle the Wildcats in a Western challenge on Monday, January 7. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a record of 11-3.
