Miller Mavericks (Charlottesville, VA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball team nudge the host Liberty Christian Bulldogs (Lynchburg, VA), 53-46 in a non-league game.

In their next game, the Mavericks face the Fork Union Military Academy Blue Devils (Fork Union, VA) in a non-league game, on Wednesday, March 3. Miller will attempt to move on its 14-6 season record. The Blue Devils enter the game with a 19-7 record after their 69-66 non-league win over Bishop Sullivan Catholic (Virginia Beach, VA).

With the defeat, Liberty Christian moves to 12-12 on the year. The Bulldogs travel to Collegiate (Richmond, VA) to face the Cougars in a non-league game on Tuesday, March 2.
