The Blacklick Valley Vikings basketball team scored 60 points and restricted the visiting North Star Cougars to 47 in the Vikings league victory on Monday.

The Vikings now sport a 12-6 record. They play next when they travel to Portage for a Western Pennsylvania - Northern contest on Wednesday, February 9. Blacklick Valley will meet a Mustangs team coming off a 54-51 non-league win over Berlin Brothersvalley (Berlin, PA). The Mustangs record now stands at 10-5.

The Cougars (7-10) will now prepare for their contest against Conemaugh Township (Davidsville, PA). The Indians come into the Western Pennsylvania - Northern contest with a 9-7 record. In their last contest, Conemaugh Township was defeated by Conemaugh Valley (Johnstown, PA), 47-40, in a league contest.
