Kentucky High School Football - Wayne County topples Rockcastle County
October 30, 2014: Mt. Vernon, KY 40456 The Wayne County Cardinals (Monticello, KY) football defeated the host Rockcastle County Rockets (Mt. Vernon, KY), 28-14 in Thursday's non-league bout.
In their next game, the Cardinals face the Casey County Rebels (Liberty, KY) in a 3A District 4 bout, on Friday, November 7. Wayne County will attempt to advance on its 5-6 season record. The Rebels enter the bout with a 5-6 record after their 25-7 non-league win over Adair County (Columbia, KY).
The Rockets (6-4) will now prepare for their bout against Marion County (Lebanon, KY). The Knights enter the non-league bout with a 7-4 record. In their last bout, Marion County defeated Washington County (Springfield, KY), 20-17, in a non-league bout.
