Mississippi High School Basketball - Meridian overwhelms Tupelo

Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Meridian Wildcats (Meridian, MS) and the host Tupelo Golden Wave (Tupelo, MS), saw Meridian's basketball squad trounce Tupelo by a count of 91-55.

With the victory, Meridian upgrades its record to 5-0 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Brandon (Brandon, MS) to play the Bulldogs in a 6A Region 5 challenge on Friday, December 10. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a record of 6-0.

Next up, the Golden Wave play the Nettleton Tigers (Nettleton, MS) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, November 22. Tupelo will attempt to upgrade on its 4-2 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 2-3 record after their 74-71 non-league loss to Amory (Amory, MS).
