Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Rio Grande Ravens (Albuquerque, NM) and the host Manzano Monarchs (Albuquerque, NM), saw Rio Grande's basketball squad knock off Manzano by a score of 65-55.

With the victory, Rio Grande improves its record to 17-9 on the campaign. The Ravens host Highland (Albuquerque, NM) to battle the Hornets in a 5A District 5 contest on Tuesday, February 16. The Hornets come into the contest with a record of 6-18. Highland lost 65-52 in their recent non-league contest against Valley (Albuquerque, NM)

The Monarchs (18-7) will now prepare for their contest against Eldorado (Albuquerque, NM). The Eagles come into the 5A District 5 contest with a 23-1 record. In their last contest, Eldorado beat Los Lunas (Los Lunas, NM), 74-7, in a league contest.
