The University City Centurions (San Diego, CA) basketball nipped the visiting La Jolla Vikings (La Jolla, CA), 46-45 in Tuesday's league test.

The Centurions (11-2) will now prepare for their test against Lincoln (San Diego, CA). The Hornets go into the Western test with a 10-5 record. In their last test, Lincoln was tipped by Cathedral (San Diego, CA), 67-62, in a league test.

The Vikings now own a 6-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Bishop's for a non-league test on Friday, January 9. La Jolla will clash with a Knights squad coming off a 72-46 non-league win over Escondido (Escondido, CA). The Knights record now stands at 9-4.
