September 26, 2008: Calera, AL 35040 In Friday's non-league match, the visiting Shelby County Wildcats football squad scored a good 26-6 victory over the Calera Eagles.
In their next game, the Wildcats clash with the Carroll Catholic Cavaliers (Birmingham, AL) in a 5A Region 4 match, on Friday, October 3. Shelby County will attempt to move on its 5-0 season record. The Cavaliers enter the match with a 3-2 record after their 30-27 non-league win over Albertville (Albertville, AL).
The Eagles (2-3) will now prepare for their match against Greensboro (Greensboro, AL). The Raiders enter the 4A Region 3 match with a 5-0 record. In their last match, Greensboro ran past Hale County (Moundville, AL), 46-14, in a non-league match.
