Oregon High School Basketball - Marshfield prevails Rogue River
December 17, 2010: Coos Bay, OR 97420 Marshfield Pirates (Coos Bay, OR) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Rogue River Chieftains (Rogue River, OR), 52-42 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Marshfield upgrades its record to 4-2 on the campaign. The Pirates travel to Willamette (Eugene, OR) to play the Wolverines in a 5A Midwestern challenge on Friday, December 17. The Wolverines come into the challenge with a record of 1-3. Willamette lost 62-54 in their recent league challenge against Marshfield (Coos Bay, OR)
Next up, the Chieftains play the New Hope Christian Warriors (Grants Pass, OR) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, December 20. Rogue River will attempt to improve on its 1-6 season record. The Warriors come into the challenge with a 2-5 record after their 53-37 non-league loss to Triad (Klamath Falls, OR).
