Michigan High School Basketball - St. Johns can't hold off DeWitt
January 13, 2009: DeWitt, MI 48820 The DeWitt Panthers basketball team scored 44 points and held the visiting St. Johns Redwings to 42 in the Panthers non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Panthers now sport a 5-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Ionia for a Capital Area - Gold contest on Friday, January 16. DeWitt will meet a Bulldogs team coming off a 47-34 non-league loss to Belding (Belding, MI). The Bulldogs record now stands at 1-5.
The Redwings (3-3) will now prepare for their contest against Mason (Mason, MI). The Bulldogs enter the Capital Area - Red contest with a 2-4 record. In their last contest, Mason was nudged by Waverly (Lansing, MI), 58-36, in a league match.
