Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Northwestern Wildcats (Albion, PA) and the host Union City Bears (Union City, PA), saw Northwestern's basketball squad trounce Union City by a score of 49-22.

With the victory, Northwestern improves its record to 4-2 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Conneaut Valley (Conneautville, PA) to play the Indians in a non-league challenge on Monday, January 9. The Indians come into the challenge with a record of 5-3. Conneaut Valley lost 65-55 in their recent non-league challenge against Cambridge Springs (Cambridge Springs, PA)

Next up, the Bears play the Cochranton Cardinals (Cochranton, PA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 10. Union City will attempt to improve on its 0-10 season record. The Cardinals come into the challenge with a 6-3 record after their 79-14 non-league win over Youngsville (Youngsville, PA).
