September 13, 2013: Algona, IA 50511 In Friday's league match, the visiting Waverly-Shell Rock Go-Hawks football squad scored a close 10-6 victory over the Algona Bulldogs.
In their next game, the Go-Hawks clash with the Clear Lake Lions (Clear Lake, IA) in a 3A District 3 match, on Friday, September 20. Waverly-Shell Rock will attempt to move on its 2-1 season record. The Lions enter the match with a 3-0 record after their 45-7 non-league win over Crestwood (Cresco, IA).
The Bulldogs (1-2) will now prepare for their match against Humboldt (Humboldt, IA). The Wildcats enter the 3A District 3 match with a 3-0 record. In their last match, Humboldt held off Iowa Falls (Iowa Falls, IA), 42-22, in a league match.
