March 14, 2011: Temecula, CA 92592 Spectators at Monday's non-league match between the Linfield Christian Lions (Temecula, CA) and the visiting Capistrano Valley Christian Eagles (San Juan Capistrano, CA), witnessed Linfield Christian's softball squad tip Capistrano Valley Christian by a count of 8-7.

Starting Pitcher Caley Close pitched two inning bringing in Freshman Molly Paschall in for 5 inning getting her some work. (Doing a great Job) With the score tied after the seventh we brought back Caley in the 8th allowing 5 batters to come to the plate ending the inning with a K. First up to bat Freshman Nicole Robertson reaching first on an error and stealing second having pitcher Close hit a fly ball to center and then Barker coming up to the plate hitting a grounder to third moving Robertson to third. Catcher Breezy Bernard coming up to the plate with 1 ball in the count and hitting a deep ball to center scoring Robertson to win the game.
