McKinney Lions (McKinney, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Pilot Point Bearcats (Pilot Point, TX), 4-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Lions now own a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they host North Lamar for a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 3. McKinney will face a Panthers squad coming off a 16-0 non-league win over Princeton (Princeton, TX). The Panthers record now stands at 5-1.

With the loss, Pilot Point falls to 6-5 on the campaign. The Bearcats travel to Longview (Longview, TX) to face the Lobos in a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 3.
