The Sauk Rapids-Rice Storm (Sauk Rapids, MN) basketball felled the visiting Alexandria Cardinals (Alexandria, MN), 72-59 in Thursday's league test.

The Storm (3-1) will now prepare for their test against St. Cloud Tech (St. Cloud, MN). The Tigers go into the Central Lakes test with a 3-0 record. In their last test, St. Cloud Tech defeated Tartan (Oakdale, MN), 56-54, in a non-league test.

The Cardinals now own a 1-2 record. They take the field next when they host Willmar for a Central Lakes test on Saturday, December 20. Alexandria will clash with a Cardinals squad coming off a 78-61 non-league win over New Ulm (New Ulm, MN). The Cardinals record now stands at 2-2.
