Piedmont Highlanders (Piedmont, CA) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad overcome the visiting San Lorenzo Valley Cougars (Felton, CA), 62-53 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Piedmont upgrades its record to 8-3 on the campaign. The Highlanders travel to Lowell (San Francisco, CA) to play the Cardinals in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 28. The Cardinals come into the bout with a record of 7-3.

Next up, the Cougars play the Santa Clara Bruins (Santa Clara, CA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 30. San Lorenzo Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 4-7 season record.
