Indiana High School Football - Mater Dei beat Mt. Vernon
September 30, 2011: Evansville, IN 47720 The Mater Dei Wildcats football squad scored 47 points and restricted the visiting Mt. Vernon Wildcats to 20 in the Wildcats non-league victory on Friday.
The Wildcats now possess a 7-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Castle for a Southern Indiana contest on Friday, October 7. Mater Dei will play a Knights squad coming off a 49-13 league win over Harrison (Evansville, IN). The Knights record now stands at 7-0.
Coming up next, the Wildcats play the Princeton Tigers (Princeton, IN) in a Big Eight contest, on Friday, October 7. Mt. Vernon will attempt to upgrade on its 2-5 season record. The Tigers go into the contest with a 0-7 record after their 69-23 league loss to Boonville (Boonville, IN).
