The Rice Bulldogs basketball team scored 66 points and held the visiting Italy Gladiators to 48 in the Bulldogs non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Bulldogs now sport a 6-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Kemp for a non-league contest on Friday, December 12. Rice will battle a Yellowjackets team coming off a 72-68 non-league win over Cross Roads (Malakoff, TX). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 3-3.

The Gladiators (0-3) will now prepare for their contest against Life Red Oak (Red Oak, TX). The Mustangs enter the non-league contest with a 4-2 record. In their last contest, Life Red Oak ran past Blooming Grove (Blooming Grove, TX), 59-47, in a non-league contest.
