The Alcorn Central Bears basketball team scored 59 points and held the host Saltillo Tigers to 52 in the Bears non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Bears now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host New Site for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 4.

The Tigers (2-1) will now prepare for their contest against Mooreville (Mooreville, MS). The Troopers enter the non-league contest with a 1-1 record. In their last contest, Mooreville nudged Tishomingo County (Iuka, MS), 74-55, in a non-league contest.
