Michigan High School Basketball - La Salle overwhelms Newberry
January 13, 2012: St. Ignace, MI 49781 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the La Salle Saints (St. Ignace, MI) and the visiting Newberry Indians (Newberry, MI), saw La Salle's basketball squad trounce Newberry by a count of 69-21.
With the victory, La Salle upgrades its record to 9-0 on the campaign. The Saints host Cedarville (Cedarville, MI) to play the Trojans in a non-league challenge on Monday, January 16. The Trojans come into the challenge with a record of 2-8. Cedarville lost 69-34 in their recent non-league challenge against Sacred Heart Academy (Mt. Pleasant, MI)
Next up, the Indians play the Pickford Panthers (Pickford, MI) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 17. Newberry will attempt to upgrade on its 3-7 season record. The Panthers come into the challenge with a 6-4 record after their 43-37 league win over DeTour (DeTour, MI).
