September 7, 2012: Rutledge, TN 37861 The Gibbs Eagles (Corryton, TN) football defeated the host Grainger Grizzlies (Rutledge, TN), 31-12 in Friday's non-league bout.
In their next game, the Eagles face the Gatlinburg-Pittman Highlanders (Gatlinburg, TN) in a AA District 3 bout, on Friday, September 14. Gibbs will attempt to move on its 4-0 season record. The Highlanders enter the bout with a 1-2 record after their 34-6 non-league loss to Knox Central (Barbourville, KY).
The Grizzlies (2-2) will now prepare for their bout against Chuckey-Doak (Afton, TN). The Black Knights enter the AA District 2 bout with a 2-1 record. In their last bout, Chuckey-Doak defeated Claiborne (New Tazewell, TN), 14-6, in a league bout.
