Fans at Tuesday's non-league contest between the Sandia Matadors (Albuquerque, NM) and the host Valley Vikings (Albuquerque, NM), saw Sandia's basketball team gain a win over Valley by a tally of 72-52.

The Matadors now sport a 10-5 record. They play next when they host Cleveland for a non-league contest on Thursday, January 19. Sandia will meet a Storm team coming off a 72-50 non-league loss to Clovis (Clovis, NM). The Storm record now stands at 6-12.
