Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Alpena Wildcats (Alpena, MI) and the visiting Tawas Area Braves (Tawas City, MI), saw Alpena's basketball squad wallop Tawas Area by a tally of 72-26.

With the victory, Alpena improves its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Cheboygan (Cheboygan, MI) to confront the Chiefs in a non-league challenge on Monday, December 15. The Chiefs come into the challenge with a record of 1-0. Cheboygan won 66-47 in their recent league challenge against Newberry (Newberry, MI)

Next up, the Braves confront the Alcona Tigers (Lincoln, MI) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, December 18. Tawas Area will attempt to improve on its 1-1 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 1-1 record after their 60-34 league win over Au Gres-Sims (Au Gres, MI).
