Pontotoc Warriors (Pontotoc, MS) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Corinth Warriors (Corinth, MS), 87-79 in a league bout.

With the win, Pontotoc upgrades its record to 13-8 on the season. The Warriors travel to Tishomingo County (Iuka, MS) to clash with the Braves in a 4A Region 1 bout on Friday, January 24. The Braves go into the bout with a record of 6-13. Tishomingo County lost 57-53 in their recent league bout against Itawamba Agricultural (Fulton, MS)

Next up, the Warriors clash with the Itawamba Agricultural Indians (Fulton, MS) in a 4A Region 1 bout, on Tuesday, January 28. Corinth will attempt to upgrade on its 18-3 season record.
