December 13, 2011: Belleville, IL 62226 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Althoff Catholic Crusaders (Belleville, IL) and the visiting Mater Dei Knights (Breese, IL), saw Althoff Catholic's basketball squad hold off Mater Dei by a score of 69-66.
With the victory, Althoff Catholic improves its record to 4-3 on the campaign. The Crusaders travel to Carbondale (Carbondale, IL) to battle the Terriers in a South Seven challenge on Friday, December 16. The Terriers come into the challenge with a record of 1-6. Carbondale lost 59-55 in their recent league challenge against Marion (Marion, IL)
Next up, the Knights battle the Notre Dame Raiders (Quincy, IL) in a Freelance challenge, on Friday, December 16. Mater Dei will attempt to improve on its 5-1 season record. The Raiders come into the challenge with a 5-1 record after their 63-53 non-league win over Palmyra (Palmyra, MO).
