October 24, 2014: Quitman, TX 75783 The Sabine Cardinals football squad scored 41 points and limited the host Quitman Bulldogs to 14 in the Cardinals league win on Friday.
The Cardinals now possess a 5-3 record. They play next when they host Mineola for a 3A-1 Region II District 8 battle on Friday, October 31. Sabine will play a Yellowjackets squad coming off a 30-27 league win over Jefferson (Jefferson, TX). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 5-3.
Coming up next, the Bulldogs play the White Oak Roughnecks (White Oak, TX) in a 3A-1 Region II District 8 battle, on Friday, October 31. Quitman will attempt to advance on its 0-8 season record. The Roughnecks go into the battle with a 5-3 record after their 34-6 league win over Harmony (Big Sandy, TX).
