The Huntingtown Hurricanes (Huntingtown, MD) basketball felled the visiting Northern Patriots (Owings, MD), 57-48 in Friday's league test.

The Hurricanes (5-7) will now prepare for their test against McDonough (Pomfret, MD). The Rams go into the Southern Maryland test with a 8-7 record. In their last test, McDonough went down by North Point (Waldorf, MD), 96-72, in a league test.

The Patriots now own a 4-9 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lackey for a Southern Maryland test on Wednesday, January 25. Northern will clash with a Chargers squad coming off a 55-49 non-league win over Howard (Ellicott City, MD). The Chargers record now stands at 4-10.
