The Jaguars now hold a 1-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Maryvale for a non-league outing on Monday, April 7. South Mountain will confront a Panthers team coming off a 8-7 league loss to Carl Hayden Community (Phoenix, AZ). The Panthers record now stands at 3-13.
Next, the Saints confront the McClintock Chargers (Tempe, AZ) in a II Section 4 test, on Wednesday, April 9. Notre Dame Prep will attempt to upgrade on its 5-13 season record. The Chargers come into the test with a 3-15 record after their 5-0 non-league loss to Skyline (Mesa, AZ).
Game Summary
Notre Dame Prep jumped out to an early lead on South Mountain and captured a 12-3 victory on Friday.
With 11 runs in the first three innings, NDP left no doubt about the eventual outcome.
An RBI single by John Cranston, a three-run double by Joe Roche, an RBI single by Leon La Jeunesse, and a two-run double by Joe Roche during the second inning supplied the early offense for the Saints.
