January 30, 2014: Moreno Valley, CA 92557 The crowd at Thursday's non-league test between the North Saxons (Torrance, CA) and the host Canyon Springs Cougars (Moreno Valley, CA), saw North's soccer squad get by Canyon Springs by a count of 2-1.
The Saxons now hold a 2-13 record. They play next when they host Centennial for a Pioneer test on Friday, January 31. North will meet a Apaches squad coming off a 1-0 league loss to El Segundo (El Segundo, CA). The Apaches record now stands at 2-4.
With the loss, Canyon Springs drops to 4-11 on the season. The Cougars travel to Rancho Verde (Moreno Valley, CA) to meet the Mustangs in a Inland Valley test on Tuesday, February 4. The Mustangs come into the test with a record of 8-7. Rancho Verde 2-2 in their recent non-league test against Ramona (Riverside, CA)
