Pontiac Phoenix (Pontiac, MI) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Renaissance Phoenix (Detroit, MI), 62-61 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Pontiac upgrades its record to 3-3 on the campaign. The Phoenix host Adams (Rochester, MI) to play the Highlanders in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 3. The Highlanders come into the bout with a record of 3-1. Adams lost 56-41 in their recent non-league bout against Rochester (Rochester Hills, MI)
