In Monday's non-league match, the visiting Birmingham Patriots basketball team scored a tight 59-52 triumph over the Carson Colts.

In their next game, the Patriots meet the Garfield Bulldogs (Los Angeles, CA) in a non-league match, on Tuesday, January 6. Birmingham will attempt to better on its 8-5 season record. The Bulldogs enter the match with a 5-3 record after their 52-27 non-league win over Maui (Kahului, HI).
