March 25, 2011: Kings Mountain, NC 28086 The Kings Mountain Mountaineers softball team scored 9 points and limited the visiting Ashbrook Green Wave to 8 in the Mountaineers league triumph on Friday.
With the triumph, Kings Mountain improves its record to 3-1 on the year. The Mountaineers host North Gaston (Dallas, NC) to clash with the Wildcats in a 3A Big South game on Tuesday, March 29. The Wildcats come into the game with a record of 1-3. North Gaston lost 2-0 in their recent league game against Crest (Shelby, NC)
In their next game, the Green Wave clash with the Forestview Jaguars (Gastonia, NC) in a 3A Big South game, on Tuesday, March 29. Ashbrook will attempt to improve on its 1-4 season record. The Jaguars come into the game with a 0-3 record after their 10-0 league loss to South Point (Belmont, NC).
