Kent-Meridian Royals (Kent, WA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Mt. Rainier Rams (Des Moines, WA), 51-40 in a league bout.

With the victory, Kent-Meridian upgrades its record to 4-7 on the campaign. The Royals host Tahoma (Kent, WA) to play the Bears in a 4A SPSL - North bout on Tuesday, January 20. The Bears come into the bout with a record of 10-5. Tahoma won 72-35 in their recent league bout against Jefferson (Auburn, WA)

Next up, the Rams play the Auburn Trojans (Auburn, WA) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 19. Mt. Rainier will attempt to upgrade on its 4-10 season record. The Trojans come into the bout with a 2-10 record after their 50-38 league loss to Auburn Mountainview (Auburn, WA).
