In Saturday's league match, the host Grapevine Mustangs basketball team scored a good 49-34 triumph over the Nimitz Vikings.

In their next game, the Mustangs confront the DeSoto Eagles (De Soto, TX) in a non-league match, on Tuesday, January 3. Grapevine will attempt to better on its 7-10 season record. The Eagles enter the match with a 15-3 record after their 58-51 non-league win over Carroll (Southlake, TX).
