West Virginia High School Basketball - Capital can't hold off Ripley
January 14, 2009: Ripley, WV 25271 The Ripley Vikings basketball team scored 67 points and held the visiting Capital Cougars to 63 in the Vikings league triumph on Wednesday.
The Vikings now sport a 5-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Cabell Midland for a Mountain State contest on Tuesday, January 20. Ripley will meet a Knights team coming off a 65-54 league win over Parkersburg (Parkersburg, WV). The Knights record now stands at 6-2.
The Cougars (4-2) will now prepare for their contest against South Charleston (South Charleston, WV). The Black Eagles enter the Mountain State contest with a 6-1 record. In their last contest, South Charleston nudged Hurricane (Hurricane, WV), 56-41, in a league contest.
