The Nixon Mustangs (Laredo, TX) basketball nipped the visiting Holy Cross Knights (San Antonio, TX), 51-47 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Mustangs (2-3) will now prepare for their test against Roma (Roma, TX). The Gladiators go into the non-league test with a 4-2 record. In their last test, Roma was tipped by United South (Laredo, TX), 60-33, in a non-league outing.

The Knights now own a 3-5 record. They play next when they travel to St. Anthony for a non-league outing on Tuesday, November 25. Holy Cross will clash with a Yellowjackets squad coming off a 40-29 non-league loss to Bastrop (Bastrop, TX). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 5-4.
