Ohio High School Baseball - Marlington loses to Dover
April 6, 2013: Dover, OH 44622 The Dover Tornadoes baseball team scored 10 runs and limited the visiting Marlington Dukes to 0 in the Tornadoes non-league victory on Saturday.
The Tornadoes (4-0) will now prepare for their match against Northwest (Canal Fulton, OH). The Indians go into the non-league match with a 1-0 record. In their last match, Northwest gained a win over Fairless (Navarre, OH), 21-6, in a non-league match.
The Dukes (2-4) will now prepare for their match against Salem (Salem, OH). The Quakers go into the Northeastern Buckeye match with a 1-2 record.
Game Summary
DOVER - The Tornadoes made it a clean sweep over Marlington by beating them by an identical score of 10-0 also in a six inning mercy game. Sophomore Kyle Abel was the winning pitcher as he stymied Marlington by only allowing a single hit while contributing a double and two singles to aid his cause. Jordan Mills and Aaronn Sergent also chipped in with two doubles each.
