Hawthorne Hornets (Hawthorne, FL) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad nip the visiting Suwannee Bulldogs (Live Oak, FL), 55-54 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Hawthorne upgrades its record to 12-0 on the season. The Hornets travel to Eastside (Gainesville, FL) to encounter the Rams in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 27. The Rams go into the bout with a record of 2-4. Eastside won 59-57 in their recent non-league game against Osceola (Seminole, FL)

With the defeat, Suwannee moves to 7-3 on the year. The Bulldogs travel to Osceola (Seminole, FL) to face the Warriors in a non-league game on Thursday, December 27.
