New Jersey High School Basketball - Trenton Central nudges Asbury Park
February 8, 2012: Trenton, NJ 08609 Trenton Central Tornadoes (Trenton, NJ) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad nip the visiting Asbury Park Bishops (Asbury Park, NJ), 67-66 in a non-league game.
In their next game, the Tornadoes face the Notre Dame Irish (Lawrenceville, NJ) in a Colonial Valley - Colonial game, on Thursday, February 9. Trenton Central will attempt to move on its 15-4 season record. The Irish enter the game with a 16-2 record after their 71-42 non-league win over Burlington City (Burlington, NJ).
With the defeat, Asbury Park moves to 13-4 on the year. The Bishops host Henry Hudson (Highlands, NJ) to face the Admirals in a Shore B - Central game on Thursday, February 9. The Admirals enter the game with a record of 3-12.
