February 17, 2013: New Milford, CT 06776 In Sunday's non-league challenge, the New Milford Green Wave (New Milford, CT) ice hockey team nudged the visiting Newtown Nighthawks (Newtown, CT), by a margin of 2-1.
The Green Wave now possess a 10-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Masuk for a South-West - DII challenge on Monday, February 18. New Milford will clash with a Panthers team coming off a 3-2 non-league loss to Housatonic/Northwestern (Falls Village, CT). The Panthers record now stands at 9-6.

Newtown came out with high tempo and energy in the third period and pinned down NewMilford in their zone.
They outshot New Milford 23 to 8 in the period and finally broke through of a turnover with 6 monutes left when Parker Rodbell scored on a low shot after stealing the puck.
In OT, Jack Laucius scored from the point on as lap shot to send the home fans into a frenzy.
