The Marion Center Stingers (Marion Center, PA) basketball nipped the host Homer-Center Wildcats (Homer City, PA), 56-55 in Wednesday's league test.

The Stingers (10-5) will now prepare for their test against Blairsville (Blairsville, PA). The Bobcats go into the Heritage test with a 7-8 record. In their last test, Blairsville was tipped by Ligonier Valley (Ligonier, PA), 61-42, in a league test.

The Wildcats now own a 5-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Saltsburg for a Heritage test on Friday, January 27. Homer-Center will clash with a Trojans squad coming off a 40-37 league loss to Penns Manor (Clymer, PA). The Trojans record now stands at 5-10.
