Texas High School Basketball - Ennis can't hold off DeSoto

The DeSoto Eagles basketball team scored 66 points and held the host Ennis Lions to 59 in the Eagles non-league triumph on Friday.

The Eagles now sport a 19-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to University for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 4. DeSoto will meet a Trojans team coming off a 70-50 non-league win over Brownwood (Brownwood, TX). The Trojans record now stands at 10-11.

The Lions (15-4) will now prepare for their contest against Waxahachie (Waxahachie, TX). The Indians enter the 4A Region II District 15 contest with a 12-7 record. In their last contest, Waxahachie nudged Joshua (Joshua, TX), 65-35, in a non-league contest.
