Biggersville Lions (Corinth, MS) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Walnut Wildcats (Walnut, MS), 78-57 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Biggersville upgrades its record to 9-3 on the season. The Lions travel to Booneville (Booneville, MS) to play the Blue Devils in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 23. The Blue Devils go into the bout with a record of 12-8. Booneville lost 67-65 in their recent league bout against Kossuth (Kossuth, MS)

Next up, the Wildcats play the Ashland Blue Devils (Ashland, MS) in a 2A Region 1 bout, on Tuesday, January 26. Walnut will attempt to upgrade on its 2-14 season record. The Blue Devils go into the bout with a 11-12 record after their 66-55 league loss to New Site (Booneville, MS).
