East River Falcons (Orlando, FL) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Bishop Moore Hornets (Orlando, FL), 50-47 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, East River upgrades its record to 1-7 on the campaign. The Falcons travel to Boone (Orlando, FL) to play the Braves in a 8A District 4 bout on Tuesday, December 9. The Braves come into the bout with a record of 4-2. Boone won 68-38 in their recent non-league bout against South Lake (Groveland, FL)

Next up, the Hornets play the Pine Ridge Panthers (Deltona, FL) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 6. Bishop Moore will attempt to upgrade on its 1-5 season record. The Panthers come into the bout with a 0-5 record after their 61-51 league loss to Matanzas (Palm Coast, FL).
